Brian Pacheco is a fourth-generation family farmer and dairyman in Fresno County. His great-grandfather began dairying in the early 1900’s. Brian graduated from Kerman High School and attended the University of California, Davis where he earned a bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics. Brian was the commencement speaker at his college graduation and is a recipient of the Award of Distinction for the UC Davis College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences.
As an elected member of the Kerman Unified School Board of Trustees, Brian is a strong advocate of public education and excellence in our local schools. He also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Community Regional Medical Center and the Agency on Aging Foundation. He is a former member of the Human Resources Advisory Board.
Brian is the past-President of the Fresno County Farm Bureau and member of numerous community organizations, including Mothers Against Drunk Driving, the Fresno, Biola and Kerman Chambers of Commerce and the Nisei Farmer’s League.
Brian and his wife, Alena, have three children – Anthony, Danielle and Matthew. They attend church in Kerman where Brian has been an usher and Chairman of the church finance committee for the last 20 years. Alena taught Sunday school when the children were younger and she also served as the Director of Religious Education for the English and Spanish programs for 8 years.
Brian and Alena enjoy helping the kids prepare their 4H and FFA animals for the Big Fresno Fair. Brian has been the 4H Dairy Project Leader for more than 6 years and Alena served as the Kerman 4H Community Club Leader.
Every summer they take the family to the California State Fair in Sacramento and to Pismo Beach to play in the sand with their cousins!
